Slim Magnetic Leather Case M5 / M4 iPad Pro 11"

I am a traveling minister and therefore I regularly speak to groups of people. My iPad is a tool of the trade and travels the world with me. I have a 1st gen iPad Pro and bought a cover from P&Q back in early 2021. I love leather goods and also wanted a product that I could switch between the Magic Keyboard and cover quickly. My original cover served that purpose perfectly for about five years and is still in great shape. However it was time to upgrade to the M5 iPad Pro and I was intending on continuing to use my old cover. I didn’t realize that they (Apple) had changed the layout for the magnet attachment. I was so disappointed until I found Burton!

I ordered this case and it arrived several days sooner that I thought it was going to and my initial observations are highly positive.
1. Modular-because I use it not only for note taking and speaking from said notes but also for presentations wirelessly streamed to my projector, I love the tilt feature. It enables the tablet to be propped up without standing nearly straight up.

2. Great tactile feel—the quality of this leather and the feel of the texture in the hands is second to none!

3. Light weight—comparing it against my old P&Q case plus tablet is a big difference. Both have shaved weight and it shows. Will be great for those times I don’t have a lectern

4. Securely holds iPad—I didn’t have many issues with my old model but every once in awhile it would be jostled free. This new design seems to hold the tablet better yet can still be quickly removed. I even tested it inverted without it moving—well done!

5. The magnet closure flap—works well in all situations plus adds security to the iPencil. I take scribble to text notes frequently and I love having the iPencil handy. However, the old design had no provision other than the tablet magnet for retention. The new design is light years ahead!

6. Looks sharp—it isn’t a cheap cover and I’m so glad that the team from Burton has created something that will work well with my SBL products that travel the world with me. I expect to get comments and questions pertaining to where I bought this just like I did with my old P&Q cover.

In short, my initial take is that this product is a homerun and I can’t wait to put it through its paces. I’ll check back in a couple of years (and tens of thousands of miles later) and leave another review. Keep you the great work Burton team—I couldn’t be more pleased!

I’ve been searching for the ideal leather iPad case for my M4 iPad Pro for over a year. This one seemed to meet all my requirements, so I decided to give it a try. I’m thrilled that I did. The craftsmanship is absolutely exceptional.

I’m extremely satisfied with my purchase.

However, I have a question regarding the care instructions provided in the small card that came with the case. It recommends cleaning the case every 3 to 6 months. However, I couldn’t find any cleaner or oil on your website. Could you please recommend a suitable cleaner or oil for this case?

Amazing case, the leather is top notch. The color and feel are even better than the videos on the website. I was going back and forth between this case and another brand, and the Burton Slim Magnetic Leather case is such higher quality and expertly made.

Incredible craftsmanship. You can feel the work of a human hand in the leather, the cuts to the leather, and the stitching. It really feels like a finely crafted, handmade item, and the quality of the leather is so nice. It's not cheap and rough, but it's also not over-polished like a purse. It feels like real leather, like you'd find on a saddle or a belt, leather built for a purpose. Except it's really smooth. It's not tough or hard in any way. It just finds the perfect balance where it doesn't feel like a piece of jewelry and it doesn't feel cheap. It feels like real quality leather. I love the white hand stitching and the X mark with the stitching on the back.

The case is also really thoughtfully designed without any plastic. It holds the iPad really well, though it does cover up the volume buttons, but I don't need them for my use case.

The magnetic closure is really nice, just has a really nice feel to it. It snaps in place and keeps it closed. This is definitely the most finely crafted iPad case I've seen anywhere on the Internet.

Case is decent. I would give it 4 stars but it covers up the vilume button and power button!

I love it.

While the iPad is snug in the corners, it is loose along the horizontal side (near the leather hinge). I can still turn it over and shake it, and the iPad won't fall out. It just isn't as snug as I would like.

The leather is high quality, and it smells as good as it looks.

Both of cases are excellent products. The M5 case has leather protectors so the case feels bit sturdier. Both cases will look good and protect your iPad.

Just got this case and I love the design and the feel.. the one big issue is the one border covers the buttons (lock screen and volume up/down) not sure why it was designed this way.. but other than that it is a great case! Need to make an iPhone cases like this!

This case fits my new iPad Pro 11” m5 like a glove. It’s so beautiful and really provides much more protection than many other cases. It suits me and the way I use and handle my new iPad to a T.
