After getting the case for my iPad, I knew when it came to my macbook that I wanted the same protection and look -- Burton Goods delivered!
I went from a plastic MacBook cover from the Apple store to this one. The beauty translates from viewing it from your screen to your hand. It feels great and I was so pleased seeing how well it fit and looked. I do not have any advice to improve this item, Burton Goods stuck the landing.

I purchased the onyx black leather slim case for my 14" Macbook Pro. I am especially impressed with the case's fit; the top and bottom pieces attach to my laptop with satisfying clicks and the bottom has cutouts for external port access. The finish is good looking, but not as luxurious or supple as I'd expected, and accounts for my 4/5 star rating. The leather is thin, smooth, and adhered to stiff backing for support. I do think the case is a good value for the price however, especially compared with other available cases on the market. It protects the aluminum computer housing from damage without adding too much weight or volume.
Not much to say -- the case arrived quickly, installed in seconds, and appears almost to be part of the laptop. No interference with use.

I have never used a leather case for my MacBook but I decided to splurge when I bought a new one. I am in love!! The case is absolutely gorgeous! The leather is soft and supple and the stitching is beautiful. It fits my MacBook Pro like a glove. I also bought the case for my iPhone 15 Pro Max and that is equally as gorgeous! Please consider making a case for the MacBook Air!
What more do you ever want in a cover for the MacBook. Fits like a glove, and so light you will not think its there and allows easy access for all the ports. Hoping we see a MBA cover soon!
I was saddened when Pad & Quill announced their liquidation; this small business provided some of the best-quality custom leather products for Mac I've ever had the pleasure of purchasing... so when I got the email from Brian Holmes announcing his new concern, Burton Goods, I couldn't wait to test out one of his newest protective products for my MacBook Pro, the Luxury Leather 14" Slim Case.
This case did not disappoint! The leather, color and stitching is first-rate... and unlike cheaper covers, these covers are a perfect precision fit. The low-profile clips that lock the cover in place are virtually unnoticable but lock the cover snugly to the form of the MacBook. Four form-fitting legs on the underside of the cover protect the leather from liquid and other debris that could stain the leather when using the MacBook. The attention to detail separates this case from would-be competitors. Well worth the investment.
The plus-up in look and feel more than makes up for the slight added weight and size of the cover. The workmanship is top-rate. Highly recommend.
The case is as described. It is a perfect fit.
At first I wasn’t to happy with this case. It didn’t feel like leather more like plastic. I put it on laptop and it changed. It looked amazing and it felt good. Only time will tell if this case will last. I wish it was thicker leather but I understand it might be harder to mold and shape. Customer service was great I spoke to them about my issues. The answers eased my concerns.
If you’re looking for a premium well built case to protect your MBP, this is it!. Not only is the leather very beautiful, the case fits perfectly. It snaps on for a very tight fit. Everything about this case is superb. It’s so well crafted I’m sure it will far outlast my Mac!
The case fits "just right". The case protects my laptop from the abuse I subject it to moving it from place to place. The case looks great also.
Soo many things to like about this case. The fit and finish is superb - the case fits my MBP-14 like a glove (e.g. the cooling intake and exhaust ports are completely not obstructed by the case). The leather is premium. The case attaches to the MBP with little clips that are hardly noticeable, yet do the job of attaching the case to the computer. Price is reasonable. And, and, and. 5/5!
